When the older "stewardesses" would show me photographs of themselves from the early days of flying, I was always shocked to find out that they hadn't kept their beautiful vintage uniforms. Ironically, when I quit flying for higher endeavors, the first thing I got rid of was the uniform, with its "Essence of Boeing".

The Ralph Lauren uniforms above were the first designer uniforms in the industry.
