The whole situation became really absurd when the mega clubs like Twilo and the Tunnel were asking me to play my brand of tongue-in-cheek fun cocktail music in their new "lounges". I did Twilo for two weeks, but the Chelsea Boys on Crystal Meth just didn't get it. My tenure at the Tunnel lasted about two months, eventhough I had to modify my sets to fit in with the crowd. This is where I branched out into the new break beats and big beat sounds coming mostly out of England. The location of my DJ booth was perfect for a series of portraits called Tunnel Crawlers.
