I had dreamed of being a radio disc jockey long before I attended college. Months before I even went to RIT, I contacted their radio station to find out how I could become a DJ. Soon after my arrival, I made the required demo tapes and had my own show by the second semester. In my second year I managed to have three shows: Late Night Jazz on Sundays; The China Shop on Wednesday evenings playing mostly obscure and avant garde music; and the 45th Hour, which took place on the 45th hour of the week, featuring random selections from the station's long neglected and forgotten 45rpm collection. In the third year, I became the station manager.
