Stratolounge was such a great success that management asked me to create yet another party at the Greatest Bar On Earth. In order not to cannibalize on the success of Wednesday's Stratolounge, I suggested an evening of Bossa Nova and other Brazilian music, headlined by Bebel Gilberto and her band. Although "Koombah Woombah", as the new party was called, was not the commercial success of Stratolounge, it was nevertheless a unique evening rich with brazilian sounds, old and new, accentuated by Bebel Gilberto's lush voice and star quality.
